The European Aviation Safety Agency

The PT6A is the only engine permitted for use in single-engine commercial IFR operation in North America, Australia and soon to be in Europe. A recent regulatory change will open European skies to single-engine IFR flights for commercial passenger service by early 2017. This will enable new growth opportunities for the engine and the many single-engine aircraft it powers.

P&WC played a consulting role in helping the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) develop the guidelines that standardize and expand the use of single-engine turbine aircraft flying commercial passenger missions throughout Europe.
